Oh boy~ Etsy front Page!!

Danish artist Ida M W Larsen, aka Mizzdraconia is one of my favorite artists on Etsy, and I was honored to be included in her latest treasury "I Got the Blues". I thought when looking at it that it might just be Front Page material, and sure enough it was front and center there this morning! In addition to being thrilled that my Rivendell Spring Earcuffs were included, I was amazed at the talented artists she included, and heartily recommend everyone pop in and have a look at the treasury while it is still up and running (until noon tomorrow~ Friday, June 27) Here is a screen shot to give you a bit of a taste:

I first met Ida when she purchased a set of my Crystal Forest jewelry to use in a future illustration of Titania. I visited her shop and was delighted by her wonderful view of the realm of fantasy. Her work has been featured in such publications as Heavy Metal Magazine, Art Scene International,Imagine FX Magazine, Photoshop Creative Magazine and Forbidden Whispers Magazine. In her shop on Etsy, she features prints of many of her pieces as well as fun and functional jewelry and other sudries with her artwork...here is a bit of a sample of work she has for sale at present (click on any photo to visit her Etsy shop):

Kyanite: Blue Calming Wisdom...

Okay, I know I keep saying "this stone is my favorite", but I can't help it, they all ARE:)! Kyanite is so calm and strong, and most beautiful in its rough form straight from the earth. This blade is one that I bought a long time ago when I stumbled upon a whole table of it selling in bulk at a rock shop in the Smokey Mountains of east Tennessee. This was my first introduction to Kyanite and I have loved it ever since. This is a one of a kind pendant and available in my Natural Stone Pendants section of my Thyme2dream Etsy shop

UPDATE: This pendant has now sold! I do have more kyanite however, so feel free to contact me through etsy or my website www.thyme2dream.com for a custom order:)

A Midsummer Night's Dream: FAE Exhibition

"I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows,
Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine,
With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine:
There sleeps Titania sometime of the night,
Lull'd in these flowers with dances and delight;
And there the snake throws her enamell'd skin,
Weed wide enough to wrap a fairy in"
~William Shakespeare
A Midsummer Night's Dream

I love this time of year!! Midsummer brings thoughts of moonlit fairy parties in the woods and Titania's famous dream. Fantasy Artists of Etsy have made this the theme of their June Exhibition. Three of my Lothlorien pieces are featured, along with other magical fae creations...if you are a faery and fantasy fan, pop over and have a look:)
